I finally found a truck exactly like my old beauty! You just have to imagine this with a mint paint job, hoof style rims, and no camper shell.

Tell me what you guys would plan on doing with something like this. I'm pretty set on what I want to do, but I like hearing what other people are thinking too.

Anyways, its a '85, 2.8L, A/t, manual hubs, shortbed. I showed up at this guys house to get a part for my 2.3L and instead drove off with a promise that I'd return to get this. It even has a family of rats living on a/c unit. It has the usual cancer, but no dents what-so-ever (that I could find).

Oh, and for $300 and I can tow it away. (It runs, but they said it squirts oil like you wouldn't believe.)

Sell the shell, lift it, tires, beat the piss out of it. The body has cancer so dents won't be a concern. you can probably get enough from the shell to pay for the truck(or most of it).

300 dollar 4x4? cant beat that. put a grill guard on it and good to go.

You want it, the price is right, and you've got a plan. I say go for it!

if you plan on wheeling it, then perfect. But if you want it to look nice...core support is probably junk, beds junk, fenders are probably on their way to being junk, doors are probably on their way too, drivers side cab mount looks solid, passenger side is sinking a bit. $300 seems alright since its a 4x4, if it were a 2wd I wouldn't give $100 for it.

Bump... jab... poke...
