If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
Well........ What is it and why is it required to boost my Continental?

Got a quote for a performance built transmission and the price includes torque converter with baloon plate (required for supercharger).

Not really planning on boost but something a little stronger than stock would be nice....... Maybe building my 32valve intec 4.6L out to cobra specs.

Lots of torque converter companies advertise that. It's supposed to keep the pressure inside the torque converter from "ballooning" the converter and wiping out the transmission pump and possibly the thust bearing in your engine on high horsepower applications.

Thank ya...... So included is good...... Don't see where I can boost it.... The transmission is rated for 350 ft/lbs..... The cobra rebuild should come close to that....... Watch out ricers, prepare to be spanked by a 3/4 size luxury car.

I can, and have. After all it already has 275hp and 275ft/lbs tq. But its a little weak getting started (prolly due to gearing) and a quick spank is not good enough........ I want complete and total decimation. Since my car has 198,xxx miles on it the transmission slips a little after long trips and the engine has started ticking a little (like a 4.0l lifter tick) and the oil pressure has dropped a little. The car is not rusted out and is showroom new inside so I want to rebuild while I got the money becacuase I expect I wont always be making $2000 a week.

Decimation--I do not think it means what you think it means. (Spanish accent--Princess Bride)

It means removal of 1/10th.

The word you want is demolition: breaking into pieces. Or maybe destruction.

Decimation is punishment, indicating that you want the item to function, and do better, afterwards.

I loved waxing ricers with an old beat up mini van I had a few years ago....... I also had a caddy sedan deville that was fun to play with ricers in, they expect it in my camaro. My Accord is Vtec V6 and is totaly stock, and since all rice boys have 4cyl its fun to play with them in that too....... silly ricers :icon_rofl:

I cant stand people who just install a Folgers coffee can, drop the ride 5" and think they can beat anything on the road....the other night I had a young one pull up next to me with a late 80's-early 90's FOUR door, Folgers' can equipped Accord....he intimated he wanted to drag me, but I declined. 11pm on a main drag (while VERY tempting) wasnt prudent- I didnt want a huge ticket that evening....so I sorta ignored him until he turned off a couple blocks later, I then gunned my engine a couple times, but I knew I at least had a chance to spank him.....my ride? 1982 Chevy Citation X-11....with about 260k on the clock, but she still corners well, and a manual trans helps too....:D Now, if my Splash had a 302.....muahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

smoked a 240sx on the indiana toll road this afternoon on the way home with the continental.

they came up on me while I was going 75 and got in front of me and slowed down to to 65 so I pulled out to pass them and they sped up..... the hung to 95 mph but started falling off and they quit trying at 120.

Haven't tried anything much (yet) with the CV PI along those lines. I did manage to piss a few people off with my 302-powered Datsun pickup when I lived in TX, though. One was a Mitsubishi Starion, between Killeen and Temple, on Highway 190. Apparently the concept of a '74 Datsun keeping pace with his little go-fast car at 125 mph just didn't set well.
