today of all days I went to 2 different yards in my unicorn cadre... I only saw 1 single 1st gen and it was on big tires... I admit I didn't even look under it to see 2wd or 4x4, just assumed 4x4 not really thinking.....

Any luck on that pitman arm search? 2wd manual steering? I've had some leads but nothing ever came of them

I believe you have to make deposits to the bank of karma occasionally in order to make withdrawals. I pulled this off of a 91 Ranger here in Portland yesterday. It is in pretty good shape, I have only cleaned it up with a little simple green and a wire brush on the splines. It does fit the remanufactured manual steering gearbox that I’m planning to put in my truck next week. Let me know if you are still interested and we will work out the details. I will sell it for $40 plus shipping if that’s acceptable.

I grabbed one a few weeks ago, and really cleaned it up and painted it, and it looks brand new, I expect this one would be the same if you gave it the same treatment.

Yes. I've ran into that as well. Everywhere they list it as "manual" ends up being power as well. Rockauto I know has a few boxes, theres also a "performance" manual box I found. So the boxes are out there. But as you've found out nobody has the arm. I'm STILL looking as well.
