One of the things in my son-in-law's Christmas list was a 42-inch prybar.

Not sure how to wrap it, I ran some painters tape from the edge of the claw down to the bar to create a triangle instead of trying to wrap paper around that bend. It gave it a unique look when wrapped, so I added two more pieces of wrapping paper and ended up with this:

It doesn't look like a prybar anymore.

I got all my wrapping done today, really miss the days when some school group was set up in the mall & would wrap gifts for a donation. I really hate wrapping. Only did one prank gift this year, My 9 y/o grandson had a phone on his list, dad worked for the phone company back in the day & theres a lot of old junk at the farm from it. So he’s getting a phone. vintage.

A few years ago my son told me he wanted a new car, so one of his gifts was a Hot Wheels. He never said it had to be one he could drive.

I got burned on that when I was a kid.

Powerwheels just came out when I was pretty much too big to get one. I wanted a Jeep one in the worst way. My brother, dad and I would go up and down the aisle looking at them whenever we went there, they knew which one I wanted. So I told Santa.

And I got a small toy Jeep.

My kids had a Powerwheels Bigfoot Monster truck.

A few years ago I somehow managed to do the “perfect wrap” and have since retired from wrapping gifts. As I know I will never be able to match or top this, everything gets gift bags since that day.

That’s kind of impressive. Really takes the perfect size box. I’m capable of this level of wrapping, but everyone gets bags or a token wrap (last Christmas my brothers case of beer had a tiny flap of wrapping paper on the top, but you have to understand, it doesn’t matter what the case says because it’s always a mixed case because myself and my brother swap a case or so of “fancy” beer.

I usually don't mind it. I get creative.

No wrapping here. I'm single, don't have kids, and prefer to not get or give gifts. The few times that I do it's in gift bags.

My kids had a Powerwheels Bigfoot Monster truck.

I had one of those too. Allegedly it didn't take long for me to kill it by trying to drive it through the garden. In my defense, it was advertised as a Bigfoot Monster Truck, so it should have been able to handle it. Just put it together, but many years later when I was learning how to drive I also tried to drive dad's Bronco II through there, it promptly sunk to the axles. Guess I didn't learn my lesson the first time, though it had been several years since the garden had been planted when the BII sunk. Fortunately the BII didn't die, dad was able to drive it out, and I got to give it a good bath.

Being mediocre at wrapping works out for me because I don't have to say who the gift is from on the tag. They know!

The first year I did presents, only one person in the family didn't actively complain about what I got them. Since then I've been a strictly cash person, except for my wife. I just go shopping with her. This year she got dinner, seat covers, floor mats, and some sewing work. All of which I need to do today...

I always like to go to the dollar store and buy wrapping paper intended for a child’s birthday present.

Like dinosaurs wearing party hats.

I few years ago I acquired a case of colored tissue paper so I’ve been doing a lot of bags recently.
