Wrangler Autiority AT Tires

And I'm not looking for a mud tire either. I just want a super aggressive all terrain. I want it to self clean well but still have the tread life o an all terrain.

basically you're asking to much...
you don't get it all.

a lot of mud tires, like mud countrys, have a great life for a MT...

All the mall crawlers around were I live have the toyo mud countrys. I just hate them and there really heavy.

toyo doesn't make the mud countrys....
DC does. :thefinger:

And how do they compare to an AT?

Personally I am not all that fond of MT's on packed snow/ice... my old Widetrack Baja AT's would make a fool out of my BFG MT's in that dept.

I don't know of a MT that you'll get AT life out of. Let me ask to verify mileage from someone that is daily driving on them... I'll post up mileage and what's left on them as soon as she tells me.

And snow/ice... I have no idea. I live in Mississippi. If we get any snow or patches of ice, everything closes down lol

edit: she's got about 20k on them now and about half tread.. so 35-45k on a set

I had 50k on my no-namer AT's, probably still have another 10-15k before they are down to the wear indicators.

My BFG MT's might have 10k on them and really show no wear that I can tell, but I rotate them every oil change as opposed to the once a year the AT's got (with a ton of city driving)

I run the good year on my ranger couldnt be happier with them. got the full set for under six hundred mount balance and they tank through every thing way better than the 'cooper discover I had on them before. with the 31's I have made it through mud holes that have left an xj with 33 mickey tompsons stuck ( and then pulled it out) no complaints.

Thanks man! That really helps. So what I'm getting from you is that they are a mud tire in disguise? How are hey for road noise? I don't mi d a little howl, in fact i kinda like it. But i really don't want a roar. Thats my biggest question.

i had the authoritys on my truck for 30,000 miles and they make a little road noise but nothing to loud and i hav rotate them every oil change and there still around half tred. i have only been stuck once with these tires and that was from the front cross member hanging up.
