So I work as a mechanic and I am certified. Normally I work on BMW and MBZ cars, and my hobby cars are Japanese cars. ANyways, so I've got a lil background.

WHY THE HELL DOES IT LOOK LIKE I NEED TO TAKE OFF THIS BRACKET FOR THE IDLER, A/C COMPRESSOR, AND PS? Does anyone have a quick way to do it?

I'm really hoping it's my water pump and not the gasket that holds the assembley with the thermostat, lower and upper hose. My car wouldnt leak when hot, but after my car was stopped, and parked. Please help asap. I need my car this weekend and I need it running, while also going to work.

ok, I undid the few bolts to undo the bracket holding the ps and ac. I got the pump off even though I didn't have the tool to take off the fan. I got the fan off on the bench. Anyone with advice that has done this?

One of Ford's better idea's that's what we call it when we run into a Ford specific issue.

Almost unfair how easy chevy made it huh? LOL

The tool has a large open end that holds the 4 w/p pulley bolts in place/keeps the pump from turning, and a large open end wrench to loosen the fan. Probably easiest to do while the pump is still attached to the engine, they can be stubborn to get loose.

I'd figure with what you work on, you would be used to having to remove X to get to Y. :D

i used a chain strap wrench ( with a leather behind it on the pully to hold it still and protect the pulley) and a pipe wrench with a 5 ft. cheater bar pipe to break the fan clutch loose. allot cheeper then the "neccesary" tools to get this off...
