His "trade mark" was a road runner. He lived in Sunizona, Arizona and the road runners (not like the cartoon) were quite common. He had belt buckels and all sorts of road runner stuff.

If you can find a pic of a real road runner and e-mail it to me I'll see what I can work up. I'll hand draw using the pic and scan it into the computer and send it back to ya. I can't even count how many tat's/other stuff I have drawn up for people.

Oh yeah and I think it would be an awesome idea and tribute to your Grampa.

I think it would be fine as long as you don't make it real big.
The current fashion here is a big Iron Cross decal in the back window with "In Memory Of" above and "(insert name of dead person) 19xx to 20xx" below.

Dude if anybody gives you crap, just tell them its in memory of your grandpa, they have to respect that. I think a small maybe 4" silhouette of the original roadrunner cartoon would be sweet in the corner of your tailgate.

if it was me i would put 2 matching decals on the back left and right window if you have a sliding window. if your going to continue wheeling you mite want it out of harms way so the trees and rocks dont get it. the extended cab side windows are also a good choice.

I like that idea, Tailgates are a good place for daily driving but you wouldn't want it to get scratched up. Plus mine was stolen...... OFF-Road runner sounds good too! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.
