The transmission came off of a '97 5.0 v8 mercury mountaineer and was wondering if a '93 mustang 5.0 would bolt to the 4r70w?

Yep, 4R70W just a new and improved version but computer controlled now. There are some good stand alone programmers out there (Baumann for one).
