there is blue smoke coming from my oil filler cap but the smoke coming out of my exhaust is white

Didja ever put a pan of grease on a fire? After it gets hot it starts to smoke...right? Same thing inside the engine. On particular places inside the engine the oil super heats and makes some smoke!
Your PCV takes that smoke and recycles it into the combustion chamber.
The white smoke might be a little valve seal leakage..
