I have an electric case that I shift by twisting the selector where the shift motor once bolted up. This worked for several years but now it will not stay in 4hi. It shifts itself into somewhere between gears leaving my truck unmotivated untill I crawl up under it and shift it into 2 or 4lo. Is this something I can pop the case apart and fix or just start shopping for a new one? Thanks for the help

There's not a detent for 4hi, there's one for neutral (where it's going), 4lo and 2hi, so actually there's nothing wrong... If you get a "Shiftster" kit it adds a detent for 4hi and a knob so you don't have to use pliers or a wrench. Or just swap in a manual transfer case and linkage...
