Need more details, like what color is the Ranger?

Does starter motor work?
If so, then yes try spraying Quick Start(ether) into the engine and see if it starts up, if so then you are out of gas, if not then no spark
Called 50/50 test
And just FYI, if it was a RED Ranger you wouldn't have these problems

Wont crank? Or wont fire?
You need spark, fuel and compression.
