Wont start when it rains

My first truck was an '85 bronco that would sometimes not start unless I stomped the brake pedal while cranking. Worked every time, 3-4 stomps max. I never figured it , but did manage to rebuild the 351W my senior year....priorities. Electricity is weird.

Alright ill try that it suppose to rain tmrw. Well i really dont drive it when it rains the last time i did i had to give some gas to keep it at idle. Then it would cut off while i drove it and i had to do the same process trying to start it.

As for the 1985 Bronco, the pumping of the brake pedal reduces vacuum in the intake, not an electrical thing, a power brake thing, cold start choke was most likely the issue

Same for 1994, fuel injected engines do not have a "gas pedal" like a carb did, they have an "air pedal", no gasoline is squirted in when you press down an "air pedal", just more air is added to intake
So in this instance I would be tempted to change the ECT sensor on the lower intake, it has 2 wires, not 1
ECT sensor sets the CHOKE when cold starting a fuel injected engine
All gasoline engines need to be choked on cold start or they won't start, and if they do they will stall until they warm up a bit
The ECT sensor tells computer how much Choke to apply based on temperature of engine

Funny, after doing the holey hood mod, I thought I would need to plug the hood scoop and the two small scoops overtop the air filter when it was raining. None of the holes are over anything electric though. Was out driving one day when it started raining, it never faltered. The air filter is a stainless steel mesh filter and does not absorb water. Water just drops right through it. Likely get a small amount of moisture into the intake when running, which isn't a bad thing.

It's raining out right now, and in a bit I am driving it down to my buddies transmission shop to do a fluid and filter change on it, again!
