Won't retain user name / password

For about 5 months now my WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER won't retain my user name and password if the computer is restarted, I have to retype both user name and password in order to sign in and yes i put a check mark next to auto sign in and save user name and password but it doesn't help.

My computer is virus free and spyware free with all available updates and patches and I am running the latest version of windows live messenger, I have also tried the repair feature and even uninstalled and reinstalled the program.

About a week ago I completely redid the computer ( fresh clean install ) and I am still having the same problem.

Is anybody else having this issue?

+1 mine wont retain it on the mail page, the msn works fine. i installed the windows live mail, so when i open the msn i click on the new message icon and the live mail logs in automatically

I have to login in everytime I go to hotmail; the only thing remembered is my username.
