won't idle

I've got 1991 ranger 4.0. engine. It runs fine but won't idle. We checked it with a code reader it said the Maf sensor was bad, changed it and it still doesn't idle. Read the codes again and it said throttle position sensor, changed it and no difference. Any one have any ideas ?

There isn't any code that says the MAF sensor is bad. There is one that says the MAF circuit is bad. Test that. Same deal with the TPS.

If you're going to jump to conclusions, it's really quite a lot cheaper and far more effective to have a pro do the diagnosis for you.
