wonderful scraping noise..

1990 ford ranger 4.0 just did the auto to manual swap and put the m5od in there. Now I am getting a metal to metal scraping noise in the trans area somewhere, only happens when motor is under load and around 900-1200 rpm. Mostly on startouts and low 2nd gear. Dont hear it in 4 lo.
