Wohlf 16's 99 Ranger build

Do u think the leaf springs under the back of a toyota will work on the front of my ranger anybody help

have an a1 welder cutting torch 4x4 square tubing what else i need. Shackels u bolts top plates. Pretty much got everything

Measurements, a friend that has a machine shop to notch that 4x4 tubing to fit the frame, and the mouth of a sailor when you realize how much swearing you are gonna do. Haha! Test fit everything 5 times before laying the weld down. If your doing shackles rear and hard mounted front like mine figure out were you want the front crossmember first then tack it on then figure out the back tack on, use jack to apply all of trucks weight to leaf to see if you like the amount of shackle angle with the weight of the truck on it. If you like it weld it. I also used a small pole to run threw both holes of the shackle on both sides to see if they matched up. Have freakn fun with it. If its not a daily driver take your time.

Got some stuff done but I cant find my charger for my camera.
1.I put on 2.5 inch drop shackles on the rear. Same as Belltechs only these have grease fittings on them and they were $30 cheaper.
2.I removed the overload and added my 2'' block back in. Broke the center bolts on both sets of springs but managed to salvage 2 center bolts out 4 other sets of leaves I had layin around. Made it super flexy in the rear.
3. Replaced the rotors on the front. And put caliper on one side. Need to take the other one in for reference for brake lines.
4.Used different holes on my shackles which helped the stiffnes and the pinion angle big time.
5.Got all of the holes drilled for the box and am now getting ready to put the sleeves in the frame and weld everything in.
Also swapped boggers on the front so they were going the right direction. Man numbering the things you get done really makes you feel like you actually accomplished something. Im feeling a little better now!
Things that need to get done in order to make it move.
1. Custom steering and brake lines
2. Steering shaft.
3. Drag link. Gonna do the same as SASDRANGER
4. Shock mounts for front and some long shocks for rear.
If I cant find my charger by saturday I will take pics with my phone and post them.

Alright got pics of the greasable shackles and the block and the boggers facing the right way. Decided Im gonna attempt custom brake lines on saturday. Steering has been pissing me off so I need to give it a break. Here they are. Crappy cell pics sorry.

nice build man just loss the front fairs and you will be good to go

The flares will be comin off. Got the shackles off ebay. Just did a search for chevy drop shackles.

Saturday coming up. If weather cooperates.
Make draglink and tab on tie rod.
Change oil in it.
Change diff fluid front and rear.
Tighten everything down.
HOPEFULLY TAKE IT FOR A RIDE! But doubt if it will happen.

NICE!! Your build is another inspiration for something i want to do someday!

She took her first steps yesterday. They were little baby steps because I hadnt got the brakes completly bleed yet, but they were steps. Either tonight or tomorrow I will post pics and a video.

Its not much but for sitting for one year five months and two days Im pretty happy. I even had an audience just in case it crashed and burned. My wife, my mom, my buddy Kevin, my beagle, and my Dad on the camera. I didnt go fast cause braking was very limited. She steered like a champ. I will get some close up pics of the steering soon. Sorry no sound but I think everyone on here knows what a beat up 4 liter with no exhaust sounds like. And yes she is a little smokie but give the girl a break shes been sittin for a long time and shes been through a lot. More to come hopefully.
