My credo
I need more sleep.
Has it been 8 years on here already? Jesus, I'm an old man now.

Anyways I figured I'd post a random update.

So starting with my truck, well officially I have been driving it for 10 years now. And the truck itself is 14 years old. She still gets me to work everyday and back, soon to be at 140,000 miles.
The only thing I've had to do is replace the upper control arms because Dallas roads wore them out (and maybe some of my teenage driving). I still have plans to make it a prerunner someday.

A new ranger randomly popped into my life, my parents have a place in Colorado and they got a 2004 XLT 4WD with 90,000 miles and in mint condition, so that was cool.

I've been flying my plane still, though at the moment its broken because its old. I'm still working as a flight instructor, covid destroyed our industry and times were very rough, things are finally picking back up and in a few months I hope to be on jets.

Glad to see you again

I‘ve been on here since like 01 or 02, so I’m up around the 20 year mark now. Don’t remember exactly when I joined though and it was before the big forum kerfluffle. Seems kinda crazy it’s been that long sometimes…

Hey good seeing you again... now bring that Ranger to the Trailride in Attica Indiana next month..

I have been on since September of 2007, I have owned my Ranger since May of 2005. it is going on 25 years old now.

I feel like I joined yesterday, but its been awhile now....Time flies.

Funny I myself have been feeling the upgrade itch. Pretty much all of my vehicles, toys, and most of my house are outdated. I am only having difficulty with this because I don't like new trucks, too many gadgets and doodads, cant even work on em, and no I dont want a small turbo engine screaming into a 10 speed transmission to propel my truck, it doesn't make sense to have instead of an unstrained V8 and minimal shifting.
Same with motorcycles. New bikes have ABS, slipper clutches, traction control, power modes etc...all useless crap that would actually hinder my level of riding. And again, cant really work on em much.
My buddies have Ipads and smartphones controlling everything in their house. Seems convenient, but I would rather not need wifi to unlock my door or turn on the ac.
Maybe I will just restore my stuff lol.

I signed on in 2002 or 2003, as 85RangerInSK. I disappeared fall of 2003, when I sold the 1985 Ranger and bought a 1990 Topaz.

That kerfluffle must've wiped out all of the users and old posts. I've looked for my old posts from back then, and they don't exist.

Yeah, anything pre August 2007 was lost except tech pages and stuff. Or at least most of it was lost. Site got hijacked, big mess. I know that I got my first Ranger (first vehicle) around fall of 00. Spring of 02 I was in Akron for one semester. Somewhere between getting the Ranger and end of 02 I had bought a tach from Summit Racing and was searching to find how to install it and ended up here. Never really left. Been pretty quiet at times, but that’s just life.

If I had the time or money yeah, but maybe once I get on the airlines I can attend one of the rides.

Oh no, its update time again. I'm still alive (mostly) currently about 75% through my training to fly the CRJ-900 jet. I have 7 sims left and a few things but hopefully Ill be done soon and back home to Dallas.

👍. Missed this back in Aug....
