Torque. The 300 puts out diesel numbers. Cross-flow heads and other such improvements will never really make what a V-8 can for horsepower, but it will help it to get out of its own way. Of course, those improvements also bring the torque numbers up too. For a rig that gets worked, torque is what you need.I've read about people using LS heads
