I'm modifying my 1997 2.3l wiring harness, getting ready to drop a motor into a 1998 that currently has a 3.0 but will be getting the 2.3. I have a couple questions that I would appreciate very much if anyone could answer. Anyone that has a 2.3 is your alternator harness separate from the engine harness? The 3.0 it seems to be integrated into the engine harness but the 97 2.3 harness has no alternator connections.

Next there is a sensor to the right of the oil filter, I'm pretty sure this is the coolant temp sensor for the gauge, the problem is it was cut on the harness I have and don't know where to splice it in. Here is the connector

this is the sensor it goes to

this is the body harness that I'm not sure where to splice it

my next question has to do with 2 sensors that were in the line going to the heater core from the head. Why are there two? which one does this connect to?

and where does the red wire on this sensor go to? It was also cut.
