I got a few pictures of some wires I need ID'in and knowing where they go. The harness is from 90 ford ranger headlight harness and I intend on repinning my 88 headlight connector using the wires from the 90 harness.

I set up a photobucket acct to display pictures

If you need to be a member to view then I will fix it tomorrow afternoon after work and errands. Just give me an idea of what place to host pictures that would work well for folks

can't use your link without logging in on car domain...which I don't have one.

Wow... Didnt realize that sorry. Cardomain has just become a huge pain in my butt since I started using it again. I have fixed it and you should be able to use the photobucket link with the same pictures and wire labels (which are located under the picture on bottom left after enlarging it)

You posted a link to your Cardomain Edit page. No one is able to view that unless you were to give away your login name & password.

As for the wires, here's what I see on my '90 schematic:

Tan/white = hi-beam indicator
Light green/yellow seems to be the main power feed wire from distribution box (+12V)
Purple/orange shows: "12V run only" (guessing this goes to a DRL module, if present)
Purple/white shows: "brake warning lamp"
Black/light green appears to be a ground circuit.

Hope that helps

Ok. the pics are also on the photobucket page.
What is the DRL? Also since my truck is an 88 it doesnt have a power distribution box (i believe) so do I just run it on a fused 12V hot?

DLR is the Daytime Running Lights Module connector. You don't need it. But don't get rid of it just put it somewhere out of the way.

Correct, shouldn't need the purple/orange.

Yeah, light green/yellow wire can go straight to 12V from the battery (15A fuse is shown for it on my '90 schematic)
