so on my 1994 4.0 the oil pressure gauge doesnt work but i found a wire that isnt connected but cant figure out where it goes, connected beside the oil pressure sensor theres another wire that is probably a foot or a foot and a half long that i cant figure out where it goes, any ideas?

With the information that you gave....

I think the red wire goes to the battery

and the black wire goes to the frame ground

What doorgunner said.

Please tell us:

Wire Color/Colors
Type of connector on the end of the wire
Location of the wire ( what side of the engine)

Last one is mostly for me cause I'm not familiar with the 4.0 but I have all the diagrams.
