wiper problem

ok so if i put my wipers on the intermittent it will stay on wat it should for a while, on once, off ofr a sec or so and then on again. but every now and then it will skip and be constant on-off-on-off, no pause ofr 2 or 3 wipes then pause a lot longer than it should then go back to normal for a while. any ideas?

sounds like the old phantom wipers, there are posts titled as such floating around some where and i think some one did a write up on how to fix, basically its corrosion and dirt in the switch and requires disassembling the lever. i fixed mine once about a year ago, but when it did it again i didnt feel like hassling with it so i bought one on ebay for like $25 think it was, been good since. try searching "phantom wiper fix"

easiest thing to check is the ground wire
by the wiper motor. ford sometimes
puts it on a rubber mount bolt.
