had an ice storm last nite and the bosch summer blades i had were frozen solid..
so went and got some anco winter blades 18 inch rubber covered / red tip ends .. you know the ones 8 bux a piece. anyhow the car parts guy helped me out by taking all the packaging they were in and left me with the blades which i put on in the parking lot. they work excellent! how many parts stores take all the packaging to help an old dude out...?? i'm going back there i think...
saved the bosch ones as spares .. lol

All my local parts stores install them if you want them to.

i think this guy wanted to come out but i told him i would do the r+r ! lol just sayin since i'm an old dude i guess they gave a bit better service and took care of the packaging for me. i was thankful for that! it was snowing at the time.. was happy i didn't have to frack around ..

Canadian Tire will install them if you buy them from the store...and dispose of the packaging. I usually do them myself just to stay in practice...lol.

On a Ranger they are fairly simple compared to some vehicles...so I swap out summer/winter blades every year and replace them every other year. One of the most important parts on a car as far as safety goes...it drives me nuts riding with someone who uses them sparingly...

Or those who cheap out on the washer fluid and will drive for miles with low visibility because they don't want to buy more...lol

i have seen many people stopped on the side of the highway using snow to clean their windshield! yesterday here there were many cases of broken windshields caused by folks not clearing snow/ice from the roofs of their vehicles...and chunks flying off and hitting the car behind them ahh another winter begins..

Ain't that the truth ^^:icon_confused:

Since the 80's I've run those winter blades on all my vehicles and I run them year round. Best blades ever. I've tried them all, cheapies to the most expensive blades. Seems the more they cost the worse they work. Winter blades always work! The only problem I've ever had is they can lift on the hwy. if U travel very fast on some cars.

Sounds like anco are good blades. Have the rain-x and they work great year round.
