So, we headed out west and did some wheelin.....

Never made it more then a mile from the trucks (other 4 guys hauled their rigs) in any direction, burnt a lot of gas and broke some stuff.

We started with:

CJ- 304ci, 38's locked
YJ- 4.2L, 36 SX's open/open
4Runner- 4.3L auto/dual cases, 35" Krawlers
87' K5 w/truckcab 350ci, 37"boggers
My ranger....

We backed the Chevy off the trailer and VERY quickly blew both front joints in the locked 10 bolt...Then the CJ pulled over a snowbank outta the parking area, romped on it and blew his clutch linkage apart due to overly flexible motormounts. The 4Runner made it most of the day but lost an alternator later on.... Oh, and the side springs in my front detroit need replacing...

Here's the Vid!

i thought you put an ls in your rig?

Not yet.....still rockin the 4.0L. As a DD, I havent had time or $$$ to take it off the road and complete the swap.

aye.

well, the 4.0 is a burly lil bastard anyway. didnt look like it was hurtin ya out there.

i know my winch would have got a workout....my current setup is not snow friendly...i need some wide ass tires up front these days.

That yota looks like it takes the right line every time, I really enjoyed this vid! There's just something about built rigs snow wheelin. By the way, what song is used in the video?

Very cool video...i would love to come to alberta and run some trails, All the vids from there look awsome.

looks like a real cool trail to have some fun with. wish i could talk some people i know into some snow wheeling but ya get a few friends stuck and no one wants to go with ya anymore. lol great vid.

Snow wheelin' !!:headbang: We've got to get together for a run one of these days.

Yota has an auto and can grab low/low can get lotsa wheel speed goin, slap neutral and grab hi-range in another case.....I don't have the power to use 3rd to get some wheel speed goin, which is why I'm goin 5.13's and building an engine. No idea on the song, Ill ask the guy that made the vid.

The inner fender material is just rubber toolbox drawer liner, which is okay but I'd prefer something a lil heavier like solid 3/16" instead of ribbed.

My buddy had a set of 36" Ag tires I wanted to use, but I didnt find a set of 16 rims that'd fit over my hubs before he sold them. Beadlocks and 8-10psi vs. the 20psi I was running would have helped a lot too.

Got ahold of the guy that made the vid, apparently the song is from a local band named 'Temple Down'.

Hey, for inner fenders I'm using the large hard plastic (bit still flexible) big rig mud flaps. Sounds kinda like the material you are looking for.
