Hi, I have been on this forum for a while now as I have had 2 90 rangers now with their share of issues, but have not really introduced myself.
I took my motorcycle of the road last week so the truck is now my baby again and such I will be turning to you guys for some assistance over the next while to fix her "quirks"

My name is Dave, I am a 21yr old Powersport mechanic(motorbikes/ATV's) hailing from Vancouver, BC.
I have my certificate in Small Engine Mechanics and am 2/3 years into my Journeyman Ticket from Canada. I have worked for Yamaha for many years, and am currently working for a shop with Yamaha, BMW, Husqvarna, Aprillia, and Moto Guzzi
I have always been a mechanical person and love working on my truck when it is sunny out.

That is my current roster of vehicles (though the grey ranger is pretty much just a chassis/body now, the mustang is missing the front end, and I have a cap on the blue ranger now....)

The truck is currently a DD but I am slowly working on more off-roading but it is hard to do seeing as I lose my job if I break my truck...

I appreciate the help that I have gotten from all of you while being on this site, and hope to be able to help others now that I have a few jobs on these trucks under my belt.

Cheers
Dave

Welcome back!

I think I saw your 'punisher' bike on either VW Vortex, or craigslist recently.....?

Welcome back!

I think I saw your 'punisher' bike on either VW Vortex, or craigslist recently.....?

Thanks! Feels good to be working on the truck again.

The bike was on craigslist recently, but I couldn't get what I wanted for it so I didn't pass it on as it is worth more to me than it is worth financially. Though having my new 750 I may sell it as I am running out of space...

Cheers

I have no idea, though that may explain why I got no hits the first time I posted it up, and about 10 overnight the second time :P

Welcome to TRS fellow Canuck...

But I have to disagree...somewhat...4x4 is a multiplication table entry, not a necessity...but you may live in an area that requires it more than others...I had my Zuki 4x4 for 6 long Ontario winters and only used the feature about 5 times...and maybe two or three of those were to tour the back 40 of my landlords farm in the summer...:)

Thank you.

Ha, Vancouver snow consists of 3 days and maybe half a foot... though we are supposed to get a good dump this year...

Truthfully, by 4x4 I acutally meant a vehicle with four wheels vs my two wheeled motorbike. I don't enjoy rain down my boxers as much as some bikers do, so my motorbike sees the shed and some customization over the winter months. :icon_hornsup:

I do acutally use my 4wheel drive quite a bit as I go up the mountains whenever I can, but that is optional and we don't really get snow down low in the commuter areas...

Hahaha...yeah, I forgot about the rain in your area...guess that would put a damper on riding a bike...hope you don't get too much snow...last time I heard about that there were plenty of houses with bent or broken roof trusses...guess they didn't expect too much of the white stuff...
