I'm wonderin if it would be possible to fit windstar seats in my 86 rag. cab ranger. I can get a set for pretty cheap but was wonderin if they'll work they look to big don't have measurement access.

thanks

p.s I'm a li'l over 6ft and want somethin more comfortable than the bench

Van seats sit up kind of high sometimes ... seeing that you're over 6', I'd look elsewhere unless you have a sunroof to poke your head out of :)

yeah thats what i was afraid of what about the explorer seats do they sit high? would they be comfortable for someone over 6'

Reg cab is a little cramped regardless for most people over 6' though, I would think. The explorer buckets sit about as high as the ranger 60/40's. They should be fine with the seat all the way back in the track.

what do ya'll think about some loww-back seats like the ones in the old vw's and sports cars?

would probably work fine if you're up to welding your own seat to bracket adapters

im about 6ft6 and i had acouple seats that came out of mail trucks. i had them just sittin in there one day and they were comfortable.

i was just tryin them out. i put the bench back in. i didnt have a drill, so i couldnt mount them, i ended up puttin them in the bed for when we went muddin

thats sweet i was gonna put seats in the back of mine for prom and pissin' off cops. i'm glad it's legal to ride in the back of trucks here.

yea its legal here too, just as long as they arnt hangin off the side.

yea thank god for rednecks in politics. i think the next u.s president needs to be a redneck they don't b.s around and who knows moonshine might be legal then. lol

mine had a bench and i yanked it out and welded in some xlt seats from the same year ranger... had to make a couple steel plates for the front though for sumthen to weld to and im 6'0 with plenty of headroom the only problem is there maroon lol
