good question
Hello, does anybody else have this type of issue on there ford ranger? Yes I know there is some ice in the wiper but it’s acting like maybe the wiper almost isn’t even touching the glass in the spot, is it warped I don’t know it works in rain but when it’s cold it doesn’t and sometimes it wipes clean and sometimes it don’t. There ford motor company wipers and there only 3 months old

Can you go out and get it off with a scraper? If it's stuck pretty good to the windshield the wipers won't get it off until it melts from the defroster. And of course the defroster doesn't work till the engine warms up.

corrosion in the base of the arm prevents it from putting pressure on the glass. the spring can't pull it down with enough force.
pull the arm all the way up a few times, light oil or WD40 at the pivot points.
