Check this out, i bought this Ranger in the summer, everything seemed pretty solid and all, bit of rattling here and there, but nothing seemed to be coming apart, but now that it is about 50 degrees in cali (yeah I know it aint shhit compared to back east) the windshield shakes, not like falling off shakes but shakes like a cheap motel matress, and the passengeer door shakes too! is I know the glass needs to be resealed (even though theres no apperant leaks) but I checked the doors and they dont have loose bolts but when I hsut them and I drive the SHAKE!:icon_twisted:, any know how on fixin this I may have?

The rattling door chould be one of two things, at least on my 98 there are two things that I found. One thing that may be worn out are the hinge pins. To check this open your door all the way and lift up and down on the latch side of the door to see if there is any play in the hinges. If there is any play replace your hinge pins. You can get them at an autoparts store or I got mine on eBay for $20 shipped (both doors). The next thing that could be causing this is a loose latch-to-strike connection. To check this roll down your window, close the door, grab the top of the door (where the window comes up) at the back (latch side) and push the door in and out. If the door has a lot of play at the latch-to-strike connection then you might be able to adjust the latch and the strike. On my 98 I can remove the interior trim behind the strike, loosen it up, move it around and re-tighten it. Not sure how effective moving it around really is though. You can always remove the strike and smash it with a hammer to reduce the distance between the strike bar and body, or replace the latch/strike.

Hope this helps...
