Hey all....have a problem with windows in my just purchased 2001 B3000 truck. It spent most of it's life on the coast of SC and am finding that sand and salt make for many problems!
Current problem that I am trying to fix are the windows. They are power and when you roll them up, they don't close tight and whistle. Have taken the door panel off and examined the regulators which seem fine. Have noticed on the guides that they are rusted badly and the little plastic fitting that goes around the guide from the window are worn pretty bad and have a lot of slop. I feel like this is where my problem is.
Question is, what is the process for taking these out to replace them? I am assuming I will need to take window regulators out, but what else? Kind of at a loss because I have never tackled a window problem before. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
