Winch Mounts

Can you really mount a winch to those??? looks thin.

i read back over my first post and i did not make it clear what i was wanting to do.i want to keep a stock bumper and use the grill guard (not as the winch mount) but to give it a better look and a place to mount my kc lights. i needed a idea for a winch mount with out getting rid of my bumper or grill guard. i dont want a tube bumper and really dont have the extra cash for a arb or warn winch grill guard. i thought about a receiver hitch up front. i am looking for ideas.

I wouldn't mount a winch to one of those grille guard/brush guards. They aren't designed to be under that great of a load, and will rip either the stock bumper, or the grille guard itself clean off. You want to buy something that is designed to hold a winch. Safety first. Or you could just fab up your own bumper that has a winch mount on it. Fabbin' is more fun and cheaper than buying anyhow.

Just reread your last post, a receiver hitch would be a great idea. Plenty strong, and you could also make the winch moveable to the front and back of your rig.

receiver hitch is what i am going to go with. i got one for free now all i have to do is cut it down to length.

will do. i am going to work on it sat if i get home in time from the A day game:yahoo: (alabama's spring practice game).
