Will this transmission fit

I have a 87 ranger 2.0 with 5spd (toyo koyo). Was wanting to put in a 2.3 out of a 88 ranger. Will my toyo koyo tranny bolt up to the 2.3? Thanks, Todd

Should. As far as I know, the 2.0 is just an under-bored 2.3 block.

I've heard that before i was just making sure. I plan on doing this on my weekend & it's my daily driver. I will have my work cut out for me. Thanks again. Todd

it will but double check in the tech library one of the trans had a dif crossmember, youll hav to see which one it is and make sure the shifter spacing is correct in the floorboard and double check the driveshaft length.

he's swapping engines, not trannys, the 2.0 and 2.3 do share bellhousings so you are good to go
