Will this alternator work?

Hey! Been a long-time looker, first time registering and posting. Just wondering if a 130 amp alternator from a 2004 Explorer will work in my 1998 Ranger. If not what years will work?

I'm curious as well, except I'm not sure if mine is a 03 or 04 alt. Also my truck is a 99. As far as I can tell the alternator should bolt right in. I'm only weary of any damage that could be caused to wiring, etc...

My only question is, can ANY explorer alternator, no matter the year, work in a Ranger as long as the bolt holes match up?
