Will these wheels and tires fit on a standard Ford Ranger

I've got a spare set of oversize wheels and tires. I know they fit on a Generation II Ranger Edge. Would anyone know off hand if these will fit on a standard Gen II Ranger? 16" aluminum wheels and tires: 265-75-r16.

Thanks once again.

Those should be 31.6" tall, I'm relatively sure for a 1g/2g truck a 29/30" tire is tops unless it's been lifted.

Bolt pattern went metric also after 98.

Those were what came factory on my 4th gen Sport 4x4.

I think you may be confused on the Ranger generations.

If you truly want to put them on a second gen... they will bolt up but thr truck would require a lift to clear a 32 in tire.

The wheels should fit if your truck is 2WD (the center hole is too small to fit over a 4WD locking hub).
All Rangers 1983-2011 have 5x4.5" lug pattern (though occasionally you'll also see it expressed as 5x114.3mm, which I believe just creates confusion).

By "standard Ranger", are we talking about a coil-sprung 4 banger 4x2? You might be able to physically fit them without rubbing when all the wheels are pointed straight and the truck's on level ground, but they'll almost certainly rub on turns and when the suspension is undergoing any kind of flex, plus they'll look "stuffed" which in my opinion gives it more of a goofy clown shoe look than the tough off-road look folks are hoping for. Then there's the question of the pretty significant gearing change and how that affects drivability.

If they are there, I would just try em on the front first.

I put these rims and tires up for sale on Craigslist for $200.00. I got a few inquiries. Thanks to you and the other good Forum members, it would seem like these will only fit on lifted 4x4s or a 4x2 Edge. I will advise buyers accordingly.

Otherwise the clown car idea sounds like fun. Maybe also a set of Smart Car wheels could be interesting!

Man, 200? Nice. I cant find any ranger rims around me for less than 600. And those are the aluminum 14s from the mid 90s trucks so they would look funny on mine.

I'm selling them for a friend. He doesn't really care about the price. We just want to get rid of them.

Just in case someone asks... those wheels will not fit over locking hubs.

I rather like these old school billet wheels for about $150 ea. Then again, I'm strictly old school when it comes to taste.

I thought they went metric when the 4th gen started....my bad.
