Will the A4LD transmission oil pan from a 4WD fit a 2wd?

Will the oil pan from a 4WD A4LD fit my 2WD? I heard that the 4WD pan is deeper and holds more oil than the 2WD pan. At Rock Auto Parts, they show the gasket as being identical, but the filter is different. Perhaps this is for the deeper pan? Would I also need a 4WD oil pick up tube, or does the filter also to this job? Just trying to help my '92 A4LD by adding an extra wing and prayer.:yahoo:
