I live in maine and here comes the annual inspection time! I just upgraded my dana 28 for a dana 35 out of an explorer so not only do I now have to find a set of fender flares to cover my 31's on 15x8" wheels with a 0 offset but I also need to get rid of my coil spacers. Does anybody know if f150 springs will fit in the front of a TTb ranger? Will it add a lift so I can delete the coil Spring blocks or hockey pucks as I call them? Has anybody tried this? I have only ever heard one person talk about doing the coil spring swap but I wasnt sure weather he was being serious or not. i am also curious to find if anybody makes a leafspring pack that will bolt in my current shackles and hangers that will eliminate my lift blocks. Please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks Much. I might just have to do such a task. Does anybody know if that write up is talking about f150 coils from a 2wd? a 4x4? a 3/4ton? Or 1/2 ton? Thanks for your help!

They won't pass you because of spacers? (they are METAL spacers, right?).

I would get a set of leveling coils for it before F-150 coils.

No telling how much lift you'll get from F-150 springs due to all the various bodystyles available (plus, i would think they'd fail you even quicker with the coils not fitting in the buckets properly, as F-150 coils are bigger diameter).

Yes in maine coil spacers (Steel, aluminum, or plastic) are illegal. So arent rear Leaf blocks if not originally equipped.

2wd F-150s came with steel spacers from the factory, so you could maybe tell them they are factory and not technically be lying.....

As far as leafs, you can bolt in a set of leafs from a 4-door Explorer for about 1.5-2" or lift. Or you can get a set of Belltech 6400 shackles that will get you the same.
