will a tranny from a 95 explorer work for a 1989 bronco 11 with a 2.9?

Just for your reference, the 4.0 SOHC and 4.0 OHV have the same bell housing bolt pattern. I put a SOHC trans mission on my OHV when I did the trans swap on my old Ranger.There may be issues with stick placement and ONE bolt may not line up (out of 6 for the 2.9L). And you'll need a starter and the 4.0L clutch.
But yes, it can work. The bolt patterns are nearly compatible. Close enough.
