Will a bedliner from a '99 fit in my '92?

Hi guys!

I've been a lurker here for a few months and I want to say how much I appreciate your website. I have learned a lot.

I have a new to me '92 Dark Red SLX 4X4 with a 4.0, automatic, and I think all options.

I found a guy on Craig's list with a nice bedliner for a '99. Will it fit?

I have a hard cover that I know will need to be removed and the liner drilled through for mounting the cover again.

I'll add few pics of my new ride for your enjoyment.

Thank You!

where do you live?? if you're anywhere near michigan, i will give you a bedliner for free. i bought it with a group of other parts....i dont want it.

I live in Washington State. The guy is selling it for $75, I was thinking maybe $50. Thanks though!

Note I added the stainless steel wheel arches and rocker panels. The kit for the panels was missing two, they are on the way, so please ignore that part of the pictures :-)

I also added a nice Kenwood sound system, and a good subwoofer system.

it **should** fit, i've been told that the inner beds were the same from the first ranger built, up to the ones on the line right now. the only changes were the bedsides. obviously flare side beds are the exception, but you get what i mean. if i were you, i would get the truck ready to put it in, drive out there and test fit it before you pay anything.

btw, nice truck, looks great. nice and clean and even has a 4.0, too bad its an auto though.

I'm 99.99% sure it will fit. I sold the tonneau off my old '02 Ranger to my bud who put it on his '96 and it fit fine.

I looked at it but did not have the truck with me at the time to take it home. The guy will let me see if it fits before I pay. It's a little grey in areas, can it be painted? I was thinking of a good black paint made for plastics.

You could try to rattlecan it with Krylon Fusion... should work. Regular spraypaint seemed to work on my old plastic liner though.

That's because Ranger beds are exactly (100%) identical from 1993-2009. 1992 ones are way different. It still might fit, but it may not.

Uh oh...

I took the fiberglass cover off last night to fit the liner. It was quite the (heavy) PIA, hope I didn't do that for nothing.

I'll bet that the inner bed has been the same while the outer bed had chnaged styles over the years.

It fit!

One question now:

Does anyone know how I can mount my fiberglass locking tonneau cover now? I can access the bottom of the bed side rail to put the nuts for the hold down bolts.
