I was out mudding at a friends place and landed so hard the firewall shifted forward and cracked my Cap and broke off my ignition control module off the distributor. :annoyed: i have a 2.8 parts truck and i was curious if the distributor would work.

Thanks

2.8 has a vacuum controlled advance, 2.9 is all electronic. There is no where for the TFI and pickup to mount.

Unless you did a lot more damage than your post lets on, sounds like you just need a new cap and TFI anyway, that isn't that expensive.

The 2.8 in my 84 BII was a TFI from the factory, but still, NO it won't interchange exactly as the 2.8 turns opposite the other v6s'. The 2.8 with the Dspark were vac. controlled, however.

well if u pushed ur firewall into ur dizzy i be thinkin u should have bigger issues then a broken dizzy...but i could be wrong
