will a 04 3.0 fit in a 94??

i have a bad 3.0 in my 94 ranger and i found a 04 3.0 for a pretty good price. i was just wonderin what all i would need to change in order for it to work. and what about mine having a distubor and the 04 having a coil pack. is it possible to just on the 04 remover the cam postion sensor and put in my distubor??

I did a 95 ranger motor into my 1999, it works great...I don't know about the 03, but I was told all vulcan 3.0 are the same. I had to use a lot of stuff off my old motor to fit and i had to ditch the distributor and put in my cam sync....but it should work the other way around also. I ran into 0 problems and everything bolted up off the 99 to the 95.

you'll have to use all the electronics from your 94, but the long blocks are the same.

as a side note, you can adapt the newer composite intake manifold to work in with your '94 electronics and its good for a few extra HP.
