Will a 7.5 from an '01 Ranger bolt into my '89 Ranger? I'm looking at the axle perch mount centerline and if the rear yoke will bolt to the flange on the axle? Would the e-brake lines hook up the same. Hydraulic brakes lines I'm not to concerned with, I can make them quickly. What about shock mount location?

Thanks for any replies!

the rear yoke will be different (larger diameter) on the rear axle
than your 1989.

You can get the larger yoke adapter off of virtually any 1990-1997 Ranger
(1998 brought a switch to a larger U-joint)

you may need new rear shocks... or atleast new lower bushing sleeves, the later rear uses larger bolts (12mm bolts Vs the earlier 10mm bolts) than the earlier trucks, though SOME 1989's already use the larger shock bolts.

But other than that...

Yeah, it should bolt right in.

BTW, that later rear is 2" WIDER drum-to-drum so it'll widen your trucks stance.
(A good thing)
