I am wanting to replace my tranny and am able to get a 96 5speed really cheap. I am not sure it will work in a 94. Both are the mazda tranny's. I know the speedo's are really different. Would I be able to change the tail shafts so my speedo would work? I tried to do a search but found nothing on this two different year swap. I may change out the rear ends also to get abs working again, 410 gears from a 86, no abs. I was wondering if the abs hook up is different from the 96 to the 94. I mean will it plug right in? Thanks for any help. I am not able to take the trannies apart but would probly be able to change out the tail shafts.
