Will 4.0 headers work with a 3.0 liter engine

Hey guys I just recently got a 2007 ex time warner cable ranger and want to bump up my horse power a bit and was wondering if the headers are interchangeable. I've heard that the engines are the same other than the bore and stroke. thanks in advance.

i highly doubt it, i think if they would fit any other engine it would be the 2.9 and i dont think they even fit that
edit; but im pretty sure pacesetter makes 3.0 headers ill go check

The 3.0 and 4.0 are totally different motors. I'm not sure, but I really doubt it.

you were thinking of the 2.9 and the 4.0 when you said they are basically the same motor and no 4.0 headers will not fit a 2.9 and vice versa
