I found some 15X8 rock crawler rims on craigslist with 3.75 backspacing. I have 31s that I would put on the rims. Will these rims stick out farther than my stock 15x7s?

more info

what are they on a bronco2 ranger or explorer

Yes they are for my 97 ford ranger 4X4. I want a wider stance.

it all depends on the back spacing

the rims have 3.75 backspacing. I dont know what backspacing the stock rims have.

Do you know the backspacing of your stock 15x7's?

Assuming they have a backspace of 4", they would stick out from the mounting surface 3".
An 8" wheel with a backspace of 3.75" means they would stick out 4.25", giving you a 1.25" wider stance. This is just an example, assuming the backspace of your current wheel is 4". My guess is it's 4 to 4.5".

ive got the 3.75 backspacing and 33x12.5x15 mtz's. The meaty tires give it a slightly wider stance and stick out slightly past the fenders but not enough to have that "go kart look".

lol

yeah we dont want the "go Cart look" personally i think the stupid guys running that kind of wheels are silly...

Alright thanks guys. I think thats what im gonna go with.
