why my ranger wont start

i have a 88 ford ranger and it will not start. i have changed the coil,rotor button, and modual. i dont know where to start now.

more info needed. what engine is in this truck? what is it doing when it doesnt start (does it just turn over and not fire? does it sputter? does it not turn over at all?). by module i assume you mean ignition module...what do you mean by "rotor button"? the ignition rotor?

is your fuel pump working? is there pressure at the fuel rail? is there spark at the plugs? is the timing set correctly?

in case you havnt guessed by now...a no start condition can be caused by about a million different things. some basic trouble shooting needs to be done on the vehicle. do you know any friends that are mechanics?

does the starter click when the key is turned???
is yes then tap on solinoid w screwdriver while someone goes and starts it....should turn over

idk i just went with a no start senario that ive encountered w my ranger

Go to an auto place, such as Auto Zone and get the codes read. If worse comes to worse, take it to a dealer.

It's an 88 I don't think it has codes??? I think this thing has a carb om it. Pour a little gas down it. Then see if it starts. I'd try to divide and conquer this problem. Determine if it's spark or fuel. then go from there. Oh we assume that it was running and just one day won't start?

the 2.9 was available in '86 and is fuel injected. the 2.3 was changed to fuel injection in '85.
