why i hate this time of year

i wish it would just stay frozen! its so hard to keep the truck clean next week is supposed to stay froze during the day and then i'll have to clean her all up again..ugh

i couldnt stand it anymore though and had to wash her up this morning...

nope sadly i did not haha the front is just a westin safari bar, the rear is a wagg rear bumper gaurd...dont do much for protection besides the stray shopping cart..but they give a great place for light mounting

one of the many reasons i moved from alaska. here on the coast of washington, we get about 1 snow day a year....just enough to get all my playing around in the slush done...but not enough to make my truck a mess for 8 months out of the year

heres a REALLY old pic of my truck (girlfriend at the helm) mid-winter in cordova. theres not much snow on the ground...must have beedn right after a thaw...which would explain the condition of the truck

haha,i wouldnt live anywhere else if you payed me..but dont get me wrong i love winter! i love snow and alot of it lol but this transition period during fall and during spring sucks. if it was cold out the truck would stay perfectly clean...but alas right now its not that way haha they say next week will be below freezing during the day, which i then will prolly detail the truck up and get it all pretty

maybe thats why i wanted to get out of cordova so bad. they average about 160 inches of precipitation a year, but only 80 of which is snowfall. compared to seattle, "the rainy city",'s measly 37" anual rainfall. even the wettest city in the lower 48, mobile alabama, only gets 67" anually.

typing that just now really put it in perspective for me

and thanks for the compliment...thats one of the oldest pics ive got of my truck. it looks a lot better cleaned up and with some appearence upgrades:

no thats fine, thats a very nice truck..i normaly dont like black..but its pretty to look at on somone elses truck haha

supposed to be under 32* during the day at the end of the week, so i may think about washing the truck again..it might actuly stay clean then haha

i need to wash it up, fill some chips in the new paint then wet sand and buff the whole truck since i still havent gotton to that almost a year after i sprayed the new paint...oops haha it came out really well tho, not much orange peel at all i was surprised.


thought i'd mention, here in anchorage we got 119" of snow last year..expecting more this year. we allready had 13.9" this month so far. i've never been to cordova but had some friends that came from there.

I gotta say, that is the best looking Explorer I have ever seen. I just love the color combo, and the tail lights are pretty cool, IMO.

well thank you! i've dumped so much time and money into it but i'm happy with it, its allways growing and changing but everyone can understand that.

it looks alittle cooler with the summer tires/wheels on it..but not terrible with the stockers and snow tires.
