Whoa! SeaFoam warning!

sounds like A: compression was too high from carbon buildup, or B: you got too much sea foam in it (ran it tooo rich)

Nope, pure distilled Chuck Norris. He musta just got turned around in there with his roundhouse kick.

The timing on that was perfect. Well Done. :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl: :icon_thumby:

its good to see someone else from the salem area up in here, CHEERS:icon_cheers:

I doubt you damaged anything.

As for the oil thing, I saw a 5.0 run for about 5 minutes with the oil pump drive rod out of the pump and it didn't do any (significant) damage.

as i BELIEVE it is a centrifugal pump, so it would more or less still pump the same direction in reverse (even though it would not work nearly as well) same goes for your water pump, it should still pump coolant the right direction

A centrifugal pump will not flow anything if it runs backwards. The theory of the pump is to fling fluid out from the center to the case/ housing

I have ran sea foam in a hand full of vehicals. It will do its job. ( Duct tape of all additives) On higher mialege or abused engines. It will clean sludge, gunk, or build up off thoes valve guides and cyclinders witch can cause it to burn oil for awile untill it plugs back up again. Had it happen to me. Run in reverse never happened to me. Ive had the best result in small engines and 2 strokes.

yeah, but if you spin it backwards, it will still fling the fluid outwards... just with the angle of the splines, it won't have much pressure... my point being it's not going to put positive pressure, on the negitive pressure lines or vise versa...

Best answer ever given to any question. I'm writing that down.

Getting ready to go outside and sea foam my engine. I would pay money to see an engine run backwards like that. As long as its not mine of course.
