Who Makes The Better Lift?

The stone crusher setup is not a k style setup, it is still a y style but the joints are heim and the pivot points are made to line up with each respectable beam. It is also made from 1 1/4" O.D. tubing...plenty beefy for most applications.:3gears:
The pic here was sent to me by Stone Crusher Seering. It is on an Explorer with the James Duff 5.5 stage 3 kit. Running 35" tires and a standard drop pitman arm. Reports no bump steer and speeds in excess of 70-75 are nice and straight. He reports that this is also without a steering stabilizer and that most of his customers are not reinstalling stabilizers because they aren't necessary. To me...it looks like the biggest improvement besides the heim joints and heavyness of the stock is that the pivot point for the driver's side beam tie rod is right in front of the driver's side pivot bracket which allows the rods to move in phase with the beams.:yahoo: To me it far surpasses the kit made by superlift in both design and durability...hands down. If you email him...you will find out that it also beats superlift in price to!:icon_thumby: You'll have to email Anthony at Stonecrushersteering.com to get pics and details etc. I tried to add the pic he sent me but it wouldn't upload.

Thanks bonedoc, this is the info I was lookin' for. I'll email stonecrusher tonight, better steering is the last hard part I need for my project.

Explosive, get the nitro shocks. I'm going to install the D35/8.8 combo as well when the lift kit gets here.

FYI, I just added up the Skyjacker 6" kit from the TRS store, pretty much item for item as compared to the JD kit and the prices, with shipping, are nearly identical. The only real difference in kits is that Duff gives you the dubble koool coil spring/dubble shock mount in their kit, along with 2 extry front shocks. By the way, the TRS store has the lowest price on the Skyjacker kit I've seen.

How come TRS has a different part number ? Skyjacker gives me 236bhks-a

dude this is just me but i would go with the jd kit think About it you get more for money an dthey specialise in ford stuff and the also have allot of other awesome parts you can ad and are devolping more as we speak so i think in the long run thats the way to go

id get a james duff lift with the dual shocks then scrap the springs in favor of some 6 inch lift XJ springs for some mad flex...but thats just me lol that would be with the JD 5.5inch lift

Can't do that.
Nothing but a stiff RBV TTB coil will fit in JD's coil mount unless you wait and get the new dual-pattern coil buckets they've recently been working on.

FWIW, I prefer the bushings over rod ends because mine still sees some amount of street time (and will last longer in conditions where mud & water are present). Unless you run flexier coils and longer shocks, the rod ends would be of little benefit anyway.

I think I'm just going to get the skyjacker. Thinking of ordering some nitro shocks now though. $35 rebate.
