to go where no one has been before, why else would anyone buy a 4 x 4.

I get in some kind of wheelin every weekend, and something serious every 2 or 3 weeks. Unless of course I busted up the truck the weekend before. Then I repair it for the next weekend or 2.

You should add an option for 'Few Times A Year'. That's where I would fall in. I'd have to travel to an off-road park to get any legal wheeling in and I can only afford to do it a few times a year.
Same for me, I've been too busy working on it lately and all the close wheeling is lame.

in an area with lots of logging roads and two parks to wheel within 50 miles(cow mountian and lake pillsbury)its easy to keep your truck muddy if it runs:rolleyes:

I used to 4wheel every chance I got. Never anything to extream as it was also my daily driver, but still went alot of places most folks wouldnt go.

Only have had my ranger for a lil over a week now. An aside from a lil mud I have taken it easy. Goona be a while before I get the "new truck" mentality outta my head.

Last time I was by there his tire shop had closed down... I dont know what the future holds for his park... (I have never been there but I believe it is out towards Sherwood Park. And your correct kaskirov, from what I have seen it is not a stock friendly park! White Knight makes it look fun, but i dont know about everyone else!.

i was referring to maclean creek as I'm in SW Calgary. but ya, just look at the white knight's page (http://www.whiteknight.ca/mcleancreekaug8_04_whiteknightca.htm). i took my quad out there last year and it was like that. theres no way i'd go through that stuff unless my ranger wasn't my daily driver.

theres another place north of calgary that my cousin says isn't as bad, i haven't been there though. its called wyprus, or white fish, or somethin

as soon as the new engine goes in the Ranger(I won't say what it is yet), I will start on the SAS and it should be a mostly trail pig..........

I know what it is :secret: And damn this crappy PNW weather I need to get some work done so I can actually wheel my junk!!!

Im usually once a month or so, but its been almost 3 since I've been last. That's about how long it's taken me to collect everythinfg thing I need for my swap and repairs, and now that I have a bike, i don't even drive the much anymore. I think it was like 2 times last week.

I should be putting it back together in the next couple of weeks though, so I be breaking it in then going and beating it up just in time to let it sit through the summer while I ride the bike again, lol.

hmmm so far it seem most of the regualr users have chimed in....now lets figure out who hasnt LOL

We had a nice place to wheel a few miles from me up until 2 years ago. I went out there a lot. I went out there in everything. Then the county ordered it closed. I went to 2 or three TRS events a year when we were doing them as well.

But I mostly built my truck as firewood truck--cutting and hauling wood on a steep hillside takes the same equipment as most wheeling. My truck definately sees lots of use. I think I went to Attica once last year. The people around me have disappeared from the scene--Sambo, Mudbuggy, JasonPaul, a couple Jeep guys. We had a whole group of Cummins guys with everything--once Combs was closed they weren't interested in keeping the spirit going.

i cant do too much with mine. i love snow wheeling and take it out to the farm on occation. but being its a 15 y/o truck and my daily driver i have to take it easy. fuel prices havent helped either. our child is open -enrolled in another district and the taurus runs through 50-60 bucks a week of fuel on its own. id like to get her a van and have the taurus as my work vehicle. "save" the truck for a tow rig and maybe put gears, lift and bigger tires on it. but that all takes cash i aint got.

I have two different trucks dedicated for two different kinds of wheeling so I clicked "Dedicated Wheeler". The Ranger that I drive as a daily driver 6 months out of the year('87 sc), I drive down the highway, haul firewood, haul scrap, and do a LOT of light wheeling. So, I actually fit in two catagories.
