I hear a high pitch whistling sound when I have the heat on all the way. I hear it coming from the left of the drivers seat. Any ideas as to what causes that? It goes off when I turn it down 1 notch. Oh and I have a 1994 Ranger 2wd, 2.3l. Regular cab.

Any thoughts are much appreciated.

There is a little vent hole in the cab might be a little pluged.. when the fan is on High its not venting all the prusher. if you crack one of the windows it well go away.

Yeah, the sounds goes away when i crack a window. Where is the vent hole??

The more I think about it there might not be a vent hole... Maybe in the rear sliding window... if you have one... might have to just crack a window when you turn it on high fan.. maybe not even crack just brake the seal a little.. your truck just might be to tight..

I try to just keep it on fan level 3 when I need it. It's not really a big deal.
But I have after market speakers, so I can tune out the whistle if I have to, haha.

Thanks for the help.
