Whining fan!

I'm sure I'm not the only ranger with a whiny fan up front. I'm wondering if there is a way to quiet it down. I don't wanna go through the hassle Of taking out the old and putting in the new.. Just can't afford it right now

Are you sure it's the fan making the noise and not the power steering pump. Either way, if you can't afford to change stuff just do like the rest of us and turn up the radio.

If it is the fan yank it and the fan clutch out and put in an electric one. Better fuel economy and more HP. You'll be glad you did.

Ok that's the other famous whine from ford. I know it's not the ps. Definitely the clutch fan. Looks like I might just have to save up some more dough and go electric.

A suggestion would be at least 2,000 cfm electric fan if you go electric

Taurus 3.8L 2 speed e-fan is a GREAT junkyard fan. I'm looking for one myself.. a lot of the mustang racers like them. jeep guys love them...
wire in the low side to a thermoswitch and the high side to AC or just on a toggle switch on the dash. just remember to relay it.

Is it a bolt in run wires relay and switch and you're done? Or does it require some mods for it to fit or something?

you'll probably have to make it mount up. I highly doubt it's bolt in. idk tho. Never done one on a newer ranger

so you want to know how to fix something, without replacing the part that is broken? doesn't really make much sense, lol.

you sure its not the water pump bearing, or a pulley?
